Christmas is coming, and adding a twist to those traditional festive meals can make them even more special. Our Strawberry & Hibiscus Shrub is the star of the show in this recipe, creating a mouth-watering centrepiece for your Christmas feast.

 

Ingredients:

- Ham 

- 1/4 cup Wildly Strawberry & Hibiscus Shrub

- 1/4 cup water

- 2 tablespoons brown sugar

- 1 tablespoon wholegrain mustard

- 2 tablespoons honey

- 1 teaspoon ground cloves

 

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the glaze - combine the Shrub, water, brown sugar, mustard, honey, and ground cloves in a saucepan. Heat over medium, stirring, until the glaze thickens up.
  2. Glaze the ham - place the ham in a baking dish and brush with some of the glaze.
  3. Bake - bake the glazed ham at 180°C for 20 minutes. Remove the ham, add another layer of the glaze, and return it to the oven.
  4. Repeat - continue to glaze and bake until the ham is cooked/warmed through and has a beautiful golden-brown crust.
