This festive side dish takes five minutes to prepare, it looks fantastic, and it tastes just like summer!

 

Ingredients:

- About two bunches of asparagus

- 1/3 cup Wildly Turmeric and Lemon Kraut

- Drizzle of lemon juice

- Drizzle of olive oil

- Salt and pepper to taste

- 3 tablespoons of toasted almonds, roughly chopped

 

Instructions:

1. Begin by breaking off the fibrous ends of the asparagus. You can do this by holding the stem at both ends and bending it until it naturally snaps. This will ensure you remove the woody part at the bottom that's tough to chew.

2. Cook your asparagus however you like (grill, roast, steam, etc.)

3. Once cooked, set your asparagus on a plate and top with the Turmeric and Lemon Kraut.

4. Drizzle over a squeeze of fresh lemon, olive oil, salt and pepper, and the toasted almonds, enjoy!
